Dee Blackhurst, PhD

Dee Blackhurst, PhD, holds a degree in medicine from the University of Cape Town with a thesis entitled, “Potential health benefits of antioxidant effects of wine on lipids.”  She carries out research on health effects of wine, with a particular interest in the effects of lipid peroxidation in edible lipids and biological samples. She has presented at various international conferences and has published in this field.
