James McIntosh, PhD, Retired Professor of Economics, Concordia University, Montreal, Canada

Professor James McIntosh received his PhD from the London School of Economics in 1976. He was a lecturer at Essex University in The UK until 1986 and has been Professor of Economics at Concordia University since 1989. He has published academic papers in the Review of Economic Studies, The Journal of Econometrics, The Journal of Applied Econometrics, The Review of Economics and Statistics, The Economic Journal, The Canadian Journal of Economics, The European Economic Review, and many other journals. From 2001 to 2010, he was a senior research professor with The Danish National Centre For Social Research. His areas of interest were initially focused on the economics of underdeveloped countries. They now include the economics of education, population, and health.
